On a snowy Christmas Eve, Ruth, suffering from dementia, wanders away from home, prompting her husband Burt to call his son Nick, the police, and others in a frantic search. As they locate her at a hospital, it becomes clear that Ruth's condition requires urgent attention. Meanwhile, Burt's own behavior raises concerns, as he's obsessed with moving to Florida with Ruth, despite her declining health. Nick proposes a memory care facility for his mother and seeks power of attorney to make important decisions on her behalf.
