A Chicago native of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, Aimee made her professional stage debut at the tender age of seven in Paul Mejia's production of "Cinderella" at The Auditorium Theatre. By the time she was 12 years old, she had already established herself as a seasoned performer, dancing in 20 shows a month as Clara in the beloved holiday classic "The Nutcracker". Her early start in the world of dance and theatre was a testament to her dedication and passion for the arts.
Aimee's impressive resume continued to grow as she joined the prestigious Young People's Company, an esteemed organization that has produced notable alumni such as John Cusack, Joan Cusack, Jeremy Piven, Lili Taylor, and Aidan Quinn.
After completing her education at Northwestern University, where she triple-majored in economics, journalism, and French, Aimee's talents caught the attention of Paramount Television. Norman Lear, a renowned television producer, hand-picked her to headline his pilot-in-development, "The Chavez Family", and she also had the opportunity to play the lead role of Diana Morales in "A Chorus Line" under the guidance of Broadway choreographer Mitzi Hamilton.
Following her time at Northwestern, Aimee transitioned to television, landing a role in the critically acclaimed series "Greetings from Tucson" in 2002. She then went on to appear as Andy Garcia's daughter and George Lopez's niece, Veronica Palmero, on the hit sitcom "George Lopez" in 2002. At the time, she was the only Latina in her generation to be featured on syndicated television.
Aimee's impressive television career continued to flourish, earning her a nomination for an ALMA and Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series in 2007. Her versatility as a performer was further showcased when she starred in Peter Berg's high-octane medical drama "Trauma" on NBC in 2009.
