Emiliano Zapata, a penniless Mexican Mestizo, comes to Mexico City to protest the enclosure of arable land, leaving his community in poverty. His dissatisfaction with President Diaz's response puts him in danger, and he becomes an outlaw after rescuing a prisoner.
