In the small town of San Dimas, two nearly brain-dead teenage boys, Bill S. Preston ESQ. and Ted Theodore Logan, dream of forming a rock band called the "Wyld Stallyns". However, they're struggling in high school and on the verge of being separated due to Ted's impending transfer to military school. To save the future, they must stay together and pass their history report, which leads to a visit from a man from the future named Rufus who helps them gather historical figures to complete their report.
