In 1950s Los Angeles, a complex tale of police corruption and Hollywood deceit unfolds. Three distinct detectives pursue the truth, each with their own approach: Ed Exley, a driven and ambitious officer willing to bend the rules; Bud White, a forceful and violent enforcer seeking justice; and Jack Vincennes, a celebrity-chasing cop whose conscience eventually leads him to join forces with Exley and White to uncover the truth behind Los Angeles' dark underbelly.
