Marybeth, covered in blood and armed with a shotgun and scalpel, is arrested by Sheriff Fowler, who dismisses her claims of killing Victor Crowley and suspects her of being a psychopath. Despite this, Fowler and his team, including the SWAT and paramedics, head to Honey Island Swamp to gather evidence and find the remaining corpses. However, their investigation is disrupted when Victor Crowley revives and begins a new rampage. Meanwhile, Amanda, a snoopy reporter and Fowler's ex-wife, teams up with Deputy Louis Winslow to interview Marybeth, and reveals she knows the secret to defeating Victor Crowley.
