In the movie, Chris Faraday, a former smuggler turned legitimate, is forced back into his old ways when his brother-in-law's dealings with a drug dealer named Briggs put his family in danger. After Briggs demands restitution, Chris offers to find a way to pay him, but Briggs threatens his family if he doesn't deliver. Chris sets out to bring back counterfeit currency on a freighter bound for Panama, but when Briggs goes after his family, Chris's friend Sebastian takes matters into his own hands.
