Kent Jude Bernard Jr. was born in 1984 in New Iberia, Louisiana, a place where creativity was always in the air. His father, a professional guitarist for over forty years, and his mother, a painter, ensured that the arts were a constant presence in his life. In fact, Kent was named after his father, which added to the sense of artistic legacy that surrounded him.
From the tender age of four, Kent began drawing steadily, and by the time he was in grade school, he was already selling his artwork to his classmates on the playground. It was clear that he had a natural talent for the visual arts.
Growing up, Kent was exposed to a wide range of musical influences, thanks to his father's profession. He unknowingly received early training in performance, and his family's love of music and theater only added to his creative foundation. After Hurricane Andrew devastated their home, Kent's family moved to his grandmother's house, where he was immersed in classical music, musicals, and the world of entertainment. This exposure had a profound impact on his artistic development.
Kent's childhood was not without its challenges, however. He was known to be a bit of a party animal, and his mischievous streak often got him into trouble. But it was during his high school years that he discovered his true passion for the performing arts. To get out of class, he helped establish a musical theater department, which he continued to develop throughout his college years. During this time, he performed in nearly 40 shows, constantly experimenting with new methods and philosophies in his acting.
Today, Kent continues to hone his craft in the film industry, always seeking to perfect his acting skills and push the boundaries of his creativity.
