Viktor Manuel Hernandez Cerrato was born in the picturesque port city of La Union, El Salvador, where he grew up with his parents Victor and Martha, and his two younger brothers, Oscar Eduardo and Jose Roberto. As the oldest of three brothers, Viktor had a natural inclination towards entertainment, participating in local plays and school productions from a young age. He would often showcase his artistic talents at family gatherings and even landed private party gigs for children. During his high school years, he gained popularity for his quick wit, impersonating teachers and public officials, and telling jokes. Upon graduating in 1988, Viktor pursued a broadcasting course in radio at Leonardo Da'Vinci University in San Salvador in 1989.
In 1990, he received an academic scholarship from Georgetown University and the CASS program, allowing him to travel to the United States of America. He enrolled at the University of South Carolina, graduating with an Associate's Degree in Arts with a major in Small Business Management in 1991. Viktor then worked at a national airline in El Salvador, quickly rising to become a Procedures Implementation Instructor, which enabled him to travel to several Central American countries, Mexico, and the United States. This experience broadened his understanding of different cultural aspects, skills he would later apply to his acting career.
Seeking better opportunities, Viktor relocated to the United States in 1996. He has since been blessed with three children. Viktor has also lent his voice to FM 90.5 radio (WSNC) at Winston-Salem State University, serving as a volunteer radio announcer and DJ for approximately two years.
In 2000, a chance encounter with talent agent Phil Newsome through a mutual friend, Apolo Conos, led Viktor to Actors & Entertainers, Inc. based in Kernersville, NC. Since then, he has appeared in various TV commercials, instructional videos, cable TV programs, and live events, as well as feature films, working alongside renowned actors such as Colin Firth, Ellen Burstyn, and Mark Wahlberg. Currently, Viktor is represented by Rusty Wiggs and the Artists Resource Agency, a leading talent agency in the southeast region.
