After the Storm

In 1933, Arno, a penniless beachcomber, lives in the Bahamas, relying on his knowledge of the waters to make a living. He's having an affair with Janine, the neglected wife of Jean-Pierre, a charter boat operator. When Arno ends their relationship, Janine becomes cynical about life. Meanwhile, Coquina, an ethnic Irish lass, returns to Pirate Caye after three years away. Arno, who's always pined for her, hopes to rekindle a romance. After a storm, Arno discovers a yacht, the Pride of Chicago, has sunk, killing all on board. He decides to join forces with Jean-Pierre to recover the valuable jewels from the wreck, but their arrangement is complicated by the involvement of Coquina and Janine, each with their own motives.
