Three friends, including a milquetoast inventor and his girlfriend, travel back in time to ancient Greece in a time machine. They're enslaved by the evil tyrant Odius, who becomes infatuated with the girlfriend. The inventor, Schuyler, is transformed into a muscleman after rowing a galley, rivaling the strength of Hercules. They hatch a plan to make money by presenting Schuyler as Hercules in a series of physical contests, using a combination of strength and tranquilizers. However, this scheme backfires when the real Hercules discovers the imposter.
