The Simpsons find themselves on the run as fugitives after Homer's careless actions contaminate the town's water supply, leading to a massive dome encasing Springfield and the EPA's pursuit of them.

A pig named Spider Pig is adopted by Homer after being saved from slaughter at Krusty Burger. Meanwhile, a lake is protected from pollution after a barge filled with garbage is sunk. However, Spider Pig's waste quickly fills a silo, and Homer inadvertently pollutes the lake by dumping the silo into it.
