Biography

Nancy Cartwright, the talented voice actress behind Bart Simpson, has had a remarkable career spanning over three decades. Born in Kettering, Ohio, she discovered her knack for voices and sound effects at a young age. After attending Ohio University on a full scholarship, she transferred to UCLA to pursue her dream of becoming a voice actress.

Nancy's big break came when she was cast as the voice of Bart Simpson on The Simpsons. Her performance earned her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance in 1992. She has since become a versatile performer, voicing a wide range of characters on the show, including Ralph Wiggum, Nelson Muntz, Todd Flanders, Kearney, Database, and Maggie.

In addition to her work on The Simpsons, Nancy has lent her voice to numerous other animated series and films, including Kim Possible, Rugrats, and My Little Pony. She has also appeared in live-action films, video games, radio, and commercials.

Nancy's passion for her craft has led her to create her own productions, including the one-woman show "In Search of Fellini," which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2004. She has also co-created and produced the digital animated series "The Kelly's" with Turner Broadcasting and NASCAR.

Throughout her career, Nancy has been recognized with numerous awards and nominations, including a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Kim Possible and a Annie Award nomination for The Simpsons. In 2020, she became the first voice-actor to be featured on MasterClass, a platform where members can learn from the best across multiple disciplines.

Nancy is also a dedicated philanthropist, supporting various non-profit organizations that focus on helping children. She has been the honorary mayor of her community for the past 16 years and has received the Fernando Award for her community support.

In her free time, Nancy enjoys painting and has created dozens of reverse-style paintings on Lucite. Her work has been featured on over 300 billboards, bus wraps, and bus shelter posters to promote the Know More About Drugs Alliance.

In 2020, Nancy co-founded CRE84U, a production company dedicated to producing international content for television. She is also the proud co-founder of Happy House, a non-profit organization that aims to "Build Better Families" through character-building programs.

Throughout her journey, Nancy has remained humble and grounded, despite her immense success. She is a true icon in the voice-acting industry, and her contributions to the world of animation and entertainment are immeasurable.
