Grand Canyon background

Grand Canyon

A rugged mule herder from the rural area is unexpectedly thrust into the spotlight when he's recruited to replace a Hollywood western film's lead actor, who's broken his leg, leading to a series of unforeseen challenges.

A film director travels to the Grand Canyon to shoot his latest picture, "Grand Canyon", and hires three mule-skinners to work on the production. When the male lead, Tex Hartford, suffers an injury, Mike Adams, a mule wrangler, is asked to take on the role. However, Mike's blossoming romance with the film's female lead, Terry Lee, only adds to the tension, as the unhappy Hartford seeks to humiliate Mike and have him removed from the project.
