Kriemhild, widow of Siegfried, marries Etzel, King of the Huns, and gives birth to a child. She hosts a feast, inviting her brothers, and tries to convince Etzel and the Huns to avenge Siegfried's death by killing Hagen, his murderer. However, her brothers refuse to hand Hagen over, leading to a brutal battle.
