A young woman named Mabel Kingsley travels to a western town to clear her father's name, accused of stealing a shipment of government gold. She joins forces with a frontiersman, an army lieutenant, a botanist, and an Apache chief named Winnetou to search for the gold and her father. Their journey takes them through treacherous terrain, pursued by bandits and threatened by a Sioux chief, but ultimately leads them to uncover the truth about the missing gold in the "Valley of Death".
