In August 1939, a worker dies in labor, and her deformed child survives. The baby is abandoned and later found by a beggar who raises him as Thomas, a mentally challenged and disturbed boy. As an adult, Thomas works in a meat packing plant, but after the facility closes, he kills the foreman and his brother assumes his identity as Sheriff Hoyt. Meanwhile, three friends, Eric, Dean, and Bailey, get stranded in a house after a car accident and are taken in by Hoyt, who is revealed to be a sadistic and insane cannibal.
