Biography

Jordana Brewster, a ravishing raven-haired beauty, was born on April 26, 1980, in the vibrant city of Panama City, Panama. Her mother, Maria João Leal de Sousa, a stunning Brazilian-born model, had already made a name for herself by gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1978. Jordana's father, Alden Brewster, an American-born investment banker, hails from a rich heritage of English, Scottish, and Irish ancestry. Her paternal grandfather, the esteemed Kingman Brewster, Jr., was the president of Yale University from 1963 to 1977, and a direct descendant of the Mayflower.

Jordana's early life was marked by a series of moves, as her family relocated to London, England, where she spent the first six years of her life. Later, they moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she spent the next four years, learning to speak fluent Portuguese. At the age of ten, Jordana's family made the move to Manhattan, New York, where she attended Sacred Heart, an all-girl Catholic school, before enrolling in the New York Professional Children's School.

As a teenager, Jordana began to make a name for herself by appearing in two of daytime television's longest-running soap operas, All My Children and As the World Turns. She also co-starred in the NBC mini-series The '60s and made her big-screen debut in the teen-driven film, The Faculty. However, it was her role as Mia Toretto in the blockbuster hit The Fast and the Furious that catapulted her to Hollywood stardom.

Despite her success, Jordana remained committed to her education, attending Yale University, where she was part of the class of 2003. She went on to star in the prequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and reprised her role as Mia in the sequels Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, and Furious 7.

In her personal life, Jordana was married to producer Andrew Form in 2007, and they have two sons together.
