After a series of unsuccessful relationships, Sandy attempts to end her life. Fortunately, co-worker Libby intervenes and takes her to a group of female friends living on a desert ranch. Led by the charismatic Grace, the women involve Sandy in their illegal activities, including drug trafficking, exploiting poor farmers, and engaging in reckless behavior. As Sandy becomes increasingly uncertain about her new lifestyle, she realizes it may be too late to escape.
