In this thriller, a police detective's girlfriend is working on a cure for a deadly infection when a convict, one of their test subjects, escapes and is transformed into a monstrous creature with mosquito-like characteristics. As the detective and his partner try to understand what's happening, the girlfriend begins to mutate as well.
