In 1984, Kyiv's communist teacher Andrej Romanovic Evilenko was fired after a pedophilic incident with a student. He then began a brutal rampage, raping and brutally murdering children and young women, often eating their remains. A dedicated family man, magistrate Vadim Timurouvic Lesiev was tasked with capturing the serial killer and eventually brought Evilenko to justice after eight years. Evilenko was executed in 1994, having claimed the lives of 55 victims.
