Captain Horatio Hornblower navigates his ship, the HMS Lydia, on a treacherous journey around Cape Horn and into the Pacific, leading his crew and officers on a mysterious mission. As England battles Napoleon, Hornblower's true objective is revealed: to arm Don Julian Alvarado, who plans to attack French-Spanish allies in North America.
