Zhang Lu

Born in the new millennium, this visionary artist embarked on his cinematic journey in the year 2000, concurrently nurturing a lifelong passion for literature. Prior to his foray into the world of film, he spent a significant portion of his professional life as a professor of Chinese Literature at Yanbian University in Jilin, where he honed his expertise and penned numerous novels. As a third-generation Korean Chinese, he has always been deeply fascinated by the experiences of the Korean diaspora, extending his creative scope to encompass the plight of North Korean refugees, whose stories he seeks to bring to the forefront of public awareness through his work.
