Vikram's life journey began in New Delhi, India, where he was born into a family of artists, musicians, dancers, and scientists. However, it was his grandmother's captivating storytelling that had the most profound impact on his life.
Before pursuing a career in film studies, Vikram decided to focus on the individual components of filmmaking, a lesson he learned from his father, which he has carried throughout his career.
He attended the prestigious Government College of Arts in Calcutta, where he created a short docudrama titled 'InSanity', which tells the story of a homeless artist on the streets of Calcutta. This project caught the attention of the Film program at Sheridan College, Canada, and he was accepted into the program in 2001.
Vikram graduated with a Major in Fine Arts, receiving an honors scholarship and a Gold Medal for outstanding achievement in the field of Art & Design. He then founded Pixel Palette Inc in 2004, a design studio that specialized in telling stories through live-action production, motion graphics, visual effects, and animation production.
Throughout his career, Vikram has worked as a creative director and director in Film and TV, collaborating with renowned artists such as AR Rahman, the Indian musical genius behind 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
Vikram's most recent commercial, 'Are you ready', was nominated for the Cannes Lions 2015 in the Film (Entertainment and Leisure) category. His narrative film, 'Calcutta Taxi', which was funded by CTV's Bravofact and National Film Board of Canada, was in consideration for the Academy Awards 2014 in the Short Narrative Drama Category.
Vikram currently resides in Toronto and dedicates his life to infusing emotion, sensitivity, and humor into every project he undertakes, regardless of its medium.
