Vijayendra Ghatge, a highly accomplished and esteemed actor, has made a significant mark in the Indian film industry. In 1988, he was offered the pivotal role of Bhishma in BR Chopra's renowned television series, Mahabharata. However, instead of accepting the role, he expressed a strong desire to portray the character of Karna, which ultimately led to a creative disagreement with the production team. Furthermore, the makers of the show also considered him for the iconic role of Krishna, but Vijayendra Ghatge remained committed to playing Karna, ultimately resulting in his departure from the project. This pivotal decision allowed him to focus on his film career, which has been marked by numerous notable performances in films such as Devdas (2002),Satte Pe Satta (1982),and Kasme Vaade (1978).
