Vicky was born in Columbus, Ohio, but her formative years were spent in Summit, New Jersey. At the tender age of 10, she embarked on a journey in the world of acting, quickly accumulating an impressive resume featuring nearly 150 commercials and numerous film and television credits.
Her first foray into television was a notable one, as she appeared alongside the esteemed Jodie Foster in the ABC special "Rookie of The Year". This was followed by a supporting role in a dramatic comedy alongside the talented Denzel Washington, George Segal, and Susan Saint James.
While pursuing her studies in Journalism at New York University, Vicky found herself juggling an incredibly demanding schedule, working 18 hour days between her contract role on NBC's "Another World", where she played the love interest of Ray Liotta, and the NBC series "Hot Hero Sandwich", a show produced and written by a collaborative team of talent from Sesame Street and Saturday Night Live.
Vicky's subsequent move saw her starring in the iconic film "The Prowler", and she recently had the pleasure of attending an anniversary screening of the film, which was attended by many die-hard fans of the movie. The event took place in Cape May, New Jersey, and was held at one of the locations where the film was shot.
Ms. Dawson then spent the next two years portraying Dee Simpson on "As The World Turns", (CBS),alongside the talented Meg Ryan, Julianne Moore, and Marisa Tomei, among others.
By 1990, Vicky had taken a hiatus to focus on her family and pursue her passion for theater, where she worked as an actress or director in over 50 productions across the United States. Her dedication to her craft earned her numerous nominations and awards for her roles over the years.
After dedicating herself to her three greatest productions (her children),Vicky resumed her professional career, acting in commercials, television, and films, with roles in "About Hope" (2019),"Toxicity" (2020),and numerous shorts and festival films.
Most recently, Vicky traveled to Brazil to take on the supporting role of Maggie in "Amazon Queen", set to be released in 2021. Vicky derives immense joy from the process of creating stories for people to enjoy, and she thrives on working with committed, professional artists, eagerly anticipating each new opportunity that comes her way.
