Vakhtang Konstantinovich Kikabidze, a multifaceted individual, excelled in various creative and professional spheres. Born on July 19, 1938, in Tbilisi, Soviet Georgia, he was a talented actor, singer, songwriter, screenwriter, and producer.
Throughout his illustrious career, he received numerous prestigious awards, including the USSR State Prize, the Orders of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, Nikolai Wondermonger, and Prince Yaroslav the Wise, as well as the Knight Cross of St. Konstantin the Great. He also triumphed in various international song competitions and film festivals.
In 1999, Kikabidze was honored with a star on the "Star Square" in Moscow, a testament to his enduring impact on the world of entertainment. As a mentor, he played a significant role in nurturing the talents of several prominent actors who went on to achieve great success.
As a scriptwriter and producer, Kikabidze created two notable feature films: "Bud' Zdorov, dorogoi" and "Muzchini i vseostal'nie". The former received the top prize at the international comedy festival in Grabovo, Bulgaria.
Kikabidze was married and had two children and three grandchildren at the time of his passing in 2023, at the age of 84.
