As a dedicated Sikh, Tyler has cultivated a strong spiritual practice, incorporating Kundalini Yoga and meditation into his daily routine. Rising before the sun, he dedicates time to these practices, which he credits with maintaining his overall well-being and positive outlook on life.
Tyler's filmmaking journey has been marked by notable achievements. His debut feature film, Bosch & Rockit, is a testament to his dedication and perseverance. Written, directed, and produced by Tyler, the film was shot during the COVID-19 pandemic, making it one of the first productions to successfully navigate the challenges posed by the global health crisis.
Bosch & Rockit has garnered widespread acclaim, taking home the Grand Jury Prize at the 2022 Mammoth Film Festival and receiving rave reviews from industry professionals. The film is set to be released in mid-2022, and anticipation is building for its debut.
Prior to embarking on his feature film project, Tyler worked on the upcoming TV series, Shantaram, for Apple TV+. He began his involvement with the project in the Writers' Room, working alongside Eric Warren Singer (American Hustle). As the production progressed, Tyler transitioned to the Director's Team, assisting Justin Kurzel (Snowtown).
The filming of Shantaram took place in India and Melbourne, with Oscar-winning Cinematographer, Anthony Dod Mantle (Slumdog Millionaire),at the helm. Tyler's experience on this project has undoubtedly enriched his skillset and prepared him for the next chapter in his filmmaking journey.
