Touriya Haoud was born and raised in a small village in Holland, where she was shaped by her Marocain/Macedonian heritage. After completing her education at Schoevers, a public education institute, with a degree in Communication, a friend persuaded her to participate in a modeling contest. This turning point in her life led her to win the contest and never look back.
Touriya then embarked on a European modeling journey, landing campaigns with renowned brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Replay. During this time, she took acting classes and landed a lead role in the popular Dutch television series Hartslag (2002),a Dutch adaptation of ER (1994).
In the winter of 2003, after only a year in television, she secured a leading character in the highly acclaimed Dutch independent movie Shouf shouf habibi! (2004),also known as Hush Hush Baby. This film received widespread recognition, being accepted to the prestigious Berlin Film Festival and honored with the Public Choice Award. To date, it has been sold to over 40 countries and 51 festivals worldwide, with its most recent screening at the Vancouver Film Festival garnering positive reviews from critics.
In 2004, Touriya was chosen to be one of the new faces for TIM, Italy's leading networks, joining the ranks of world-renowned role models such as Sophia Loren and Naomi Campbell. She has since passed the torch to the newest face of the campaign, Adriana Lima.
Only months later, Touriya landed her biggest opportunity, starring opposite Laurence Fishburne and Ryan Phillippe in the controversial film Five Fingers (2006).
Following the wrap of shooting for Five Fingers (2006),she relocated to Los Angeles in April 2005. Currently, she can be seen in national commercials for Budweiser Select and TAG Body Spray.
In her free time, Touriya enjoys reading a good book, cooking her favorite Marocian/Macedonian dishes, traveling along the Coast of California, and giving back to her favorite organizations, Orange Babies, in South Africa.
