Tosin is a multifaceted creative individual, excelling as an actor, writer, director, and Chicago transplant now residing in Los Angeles. His proud heritage stems from Nigerian immigrants who currently reside in Kansas City, where he spent his formative years.
Tosin's impressive television credits include recurring roles on Black Lightning (2018),Love Is_ (2018),The Chi (2018),and Run the World (2021).
Beyond his work in television, Tosin is a talented filmmaker, renowned for directing the thought-provoking social justice police thriller On Sight (2016) and the poignant short film Endowed (2016),which delves into themes of fatherhood, family, and fear. He is also an accomplished improviser and spoken word poet.
Tosin's writing and filmmaking endeavors revolve around telling stories that foster empathy, raise awareness, and celebrate the human spirit as heroes.
In his pre-Los Angeles days, Tosin honed his craft in Chicago, where he performed at esteemed institutions such as the Goodman theatre, Court theatre, Lookingglass, Northlight, and Victory Gardens theatre. Notably, he won the "Best Supporting Actor" award from the Black Theatre Alliance for his role in "The Gospel of Lovingkindness".
Prior to his Off-Broadway appearance at the New Victory Theatre, Tosin got his start in Kansas City at the Coterie theatre, the Unicorn theatre, and the Kansas City Rep theatre. He has also directed plays for the Coterie and Creede Repertory theatre.
Tosin earned his degree from the University of Kansas in 2010, where he took great pride in founding the "Multicultural Theatre Initiative".
