Tomas Boykin was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a city that would later influence his creative trajectory. As a child, he was encouraged to act in plays by his musician father and stay-at-home mom, who recognized the importance of artistic expression. This early start in the world of theatre continued through his college years, where he majored in criminal justice with a pre-law focus, yet managed to fit in numerous musical productions, including "A Chorus Line," "Pippin," "Finian's Rainbow," "Oklahoma," and "The Little Foxes."
