Tom Wontner was born in London, England in 1971. He has appeared in numerous independent features and shorts, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
He is perhaps best known for his roles in films such as "The Carer" (2015),where he played Dr. Townsend, and "Cross-Eyed Waltz" (2005),a bizarre comedy directed by Peter Hearn. Tom also appeared in "Quality Indigo" (2005),"A Mind of Her Own" (2006),and "Jack, the Last Victim" (2005),a psychological thriller based on a musical about Jack the Ripper.
In 2004, Tom was short-listed for the BBC/CSV Night of Many Stars for new London film-making talent, for his role as hapless undercover reporter Martin Cosgrave in "The Haircutter's Cut" (2004). He has also been cast in numerous independent short films, including "Hard Case" (2006),"Tunnel Vision" (2003),"The Control Room" (2005),and "Kritzi: The Little Goat" (2004).
Tom has also produced and acted in several films, including the comic romance "My Yacht" (2006),which premiered in several film festivals around the world, and the horror short "Witch's Spring" (2004),which was chosen for the horror compilation feature "The Horror of H.P. Lovecraft" (2006).
In addition to his film work, Tom has also voiced characters in several films, including "The Man Who Met Himself" (2005),which was short-listed for the Palm D'Or and officially selected to screen in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. He won Best Actor for his role in "My Yacht" (2006) at the Wreck-Beach International Film Festival in Ontario, Canada.
