Tom Felton, a talented individual, was born in Epsom, Surrey, to Sharon and Peter Felton. His journey in acting began at the tender age of eight, when an actress friend of his family recognized his theatrical qualities and suggested he pursue a career in the performing arts. This led to him meeting with an agent and, after auditioning with over 400 other children, landing an international commercial campaign, which ultimately took him abroad to work.
As a gifted singer, Tom started singing in a church choir at the age of seven and has been a member of four school choirs. Interestingly, he declined an offer to join the Guildford Cathedral Choir. A keen sportsman, Tom enjoys a wide range of activities, including football, ice skating, roller blading, basketball, cricket, swimming, and tennis.
After working on the film Anna and the King (1999) alongside Jodie Foster, Tom received his big break in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) as Draco Malfoy, the schoolboy rival to the titular character played by Daniel Radcliffe. Tom successfully managed to film his part in all eight Harry Potter movies while also maintaining an active life outside the magical world it created. During his breaks from filming, he worked on independent horror movies such as The Disappeared (2008),Night Wolf (2010),and The Apparition (2012),which starred Twilight's Ashley Greene.
Immediately after completing his filming on Harry Potter, Tom landed roles in Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) and From the Rough (2011). His latest projects include In Secret (2013),Fangs of War (release date unknown),and Attachment.
In addition to his acting career, Tom still finds time for his passion for music. He is one of the founding owners and talents of Six String Productions, a recording company dedicated to signing young musical artists who have been overlooked by the major recording industry.
