Togo Igawa is a multifaceted individual, distinguished as both an actor and director, who has made England his home. His journey in the world of theatre began in 1968, when he joined Theatre Centre 68, a pioneering institution that would later evolve into the renowned Black Tent Theatre. Throughout Japan, he embarked on an extensive tour, captivating audiences in a staggering 120 cities or more. In 1983, he made the bold decision to relocate to England, where his remarkable career would continue to flourish. Two years later, in 1986, he became an integral part of the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company, a distinction that made him the company's first Japanese actor.
