Todd Duffee, a Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) of considerable skill and determination, defied the odds to pursue a career in the competitive world of full-time MMA fighting. Born on December 6, 1985, in Evansville, Indiana, Todd spent his formative years in Raleigh, Illinois, before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 16.
It was in Atlanta that Todd discovered his passion for boxing and MMA, joining a local boxing gym and subsequently training in the art of combat sports. His education in MMA was further enhanced by his voracious appetite for watching old Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fights, which he rented and studied extensively.
Not long after beginning his training, Todd started fighting professionally, and his early success against several opponents earned him a notable victory over UFC and PRIDE FC veteran fighter Assuiero Silva, whom he defeated via knockout in the second round.
Todd's promising career was marked by a series of impressive victories, including a record-setting fast knockout against Tim Hague at UFC #102, held in Portland, Oregon on August 2009. However, his progress was also marked by a series of setbacks, including a stunning upset defeat at the hands of Mike Russow at UFC #114, which ended in a knockout in the third round.
Despite his best efforts, Todd's injuries often led to him being replaced by other fighters, resulting in a significant reduction in his fighting schedule. In September 2010, he was ultimately released from the UFC, after which he began fighting in smaller, regional leagues.
Outside of his fighting career, Todd trains at the renowned Grudge Training Center in Colorado and has also pursued other interests, including acting. He made his acting debut in the 2011 film Never Back Down 2.
