Tina Wiseman's life was marked by a unique blend of cultural heritage and artistic pursuits. Born in Pearl Harbor Hospital in Hawaii, she was the daughter of a sailor who hailed from a farm in Ohio, while her mother was born and raised in American Samoa.
As the granddaughter of the high chief who founded the village of Futinga in American Samoa, Tina held a special place in Samoan society. Initially, she followed in the footsteps of her Samoan grandmother, studying to become a healer. However, she soon discovered a passion for singing and acting, which would become the defining aspects of her career.
Tina's talents did not go unnoticed, and she was soon featured in numerous commercials, print ads, and independent films. One of her most notable roles was alongside Jon Jacobs and Charlotte Lewis in the Miami dance movie DJ Hound Dog (2003). The film's soundtrack, which Tina contributed to with three dance tracks, was a huge success, with "Storm Cloud", "Telekinetic", and "Island Girl" becoming staples in Miami's nightclubs.
Tina's musical talents did not stop at the silver screen, as she also spun tracks as the DJ in the VIP lounge at "Billboard Live in South Beach". Her music career was marked by a unique blend of styles, from the energetic beats of DJ Hound Dog to her more introspective solo tracks.
Despite her many accomplishments, Tina's life was tragically cut short when she passed away on February 20, 2005, in the Bahamas due to pulmonary edema. Her legacy, however, lives on through her music and the many lives she touched through her art.
