Tina Gharavi is a talented and innovative writer/director and showrunner, whose creative journey began with an initial training in painting in the United States. She later shifted her focus to cinema, studying in France, where she honed her skills and developed a fearless approach to storytelling. Gharavi's work often explores the lives of outsiders, rebels, and misfits, and she has gained recognition within the film industry for her groundbreaking, cross-platform projects.
Notably, her BAFTA-nominated feature film, I Am Nasrine, has garnered significant attention, and she has also worked as a high-end TV director on shows such as The Tunnel for Sky TV. Most recently, Gharavi completed production on her first Netflix series, a docu-drama about the life of Cleopatra, in collaboration with Jada Pickett-Smith's Westbrook and Nutopia.
In addition to her feature and television work, Gharavi is in development on her own episodic series, set in the UK and Iceland, as showrunner, in partnership with the producers of Fargo.
