Biography

Timothy Busfield is a renowned producer, director, and Emmy Award-winning actor with an impressive professional career spanning over 750 credits. As an actor, he has had recurring or series regular roles in over 20 television series, including "For Life", "The Loudest Voice", "Almost Family", "Designated Survivor", "One Dollar", and "Thirtysomething", among many others.

He has also appeared in numerous television movies and feature films, such as "Field of Dreams", "Stripes", "Revenge of the Nerds", "Quiz Show", and "Sneakers". Timothy has even lent his voice to the Marvel Podcast "Wastelanders: Old Man Star-Lord", playing the iconic role of Star-Lord (AKA Peter Quill).

As a director, Timothy has helmed over 150 episodes of television, including episodes of "This Is Us", "The Cleaning Lady", "Chicago Med", "FBI", and "The Fosters", as well as multiple episodes of "thirtysomething", "Sports Night", "Damages", "Lipstick Jungle", and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip". He has also directed several television movies and feature films.

In addition to his work in television and film, Timothy has a strong background in theatre. He has appeared on Broadway twice, most recently as Lt. Daniel Kaffee in Aaron Sorkin's "A Few Good Men". Timothy has also founded two successful professional theaters, The Fantasy Theatre (AKA the B Street School Tour) and The B Street Theatre, both located in Sacramento, California.

These theaters, now in their 38th season, perform annually for over 200,000 children and adults throughout northern California. Timothy has received honorary PhDs from Michigan State University and East Tennessee State University. He is married to the talented actress and television icon, Melissa Gilbert, and is known for his exceptional culinary skills.
