Tilda Del Toro is a multifaceted American actress, renowned for her captivating performance as Mona Lisa in the film "Capone", opposite the talented Tom Hardy, under the direction of Josh Trank. Her impressive repertoire also includes a role in the Universal Pictures' comedy "Night School", where she shared the screen with Kevin Hart and Al Madrigal. Del Toro has had the privilege of working with esteemed directors such as David Gordon Green, Josh Trank, Malcolm D. Lee, and Nicolai Fuglsig, as well as producers Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, Lawrence Bender, and Will Packer.
Del Toro's journey in the entertainment industry began at a young age, when she started acting and modeling. She was soon cast in the Steppenwolf Theatre Company's original production of "House on Mango Street". Her impressive performance led to her participation in multiple Level 5 Improv Olympic shows, directed by the late Del Close, including "A Strange Short Trip". Del Toro also co-created the first all-Latino improvisation troupe in Chicago, Salsation.
Throughout her training, Del Toro had the opportunity to work with renowned mentors and teachers, including James Caan, Joyce Piven, and Del Close. She is well-versed in various acting techniques, such as Meisner, Stanislavski, and Long Form Improvisation. In addition to her professional pursuits, Del Toro has recently returned to academia to pursue her bachelor of fine arts, cinematic arts, and film degree at Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, CA.
