Szymon Szurmiej, a renowned actor and writer, was born on June 18, 1923, in the city of Luck, which was then part of Wolynskie, Poland, but is now known as Lutsk and is situated in the Volyn Oblast of Ukraine. This notable individual, whose life was marked by his dedication to the world of entertainment, was most notably recognized for his work in the films "Kamienica na Nalewkach, czyli szlagiery zydowskiej ulicy" (2000),"Der Dibuk" (1979),and "War and Love" (1985). Throughout his life, Szurmiej was in a loving relationship with the talented actress Golda Tencer.
