Suzanne Cyr, a talented individual with a passion for the performing arts, was born and raised in the charming small town of St. Thomas, Ontario. As a young adult, she was drawn to the world of theatre and art, and at the age of 18, she made the bold decision to leave her hometown behind and pursue a career in modeling in Toronto.
With her newfound success as a model, Suzanne was encouraged by casting directors to hone her acting skills, and she subsequently studied with renowned instructors such as Carol Rosenfeld, HB Studios, Lewis Baumander, LB Acting Studio, Sandra Balcovske, Second City, and David Smukler.
Suzanne's breakout role as Victoria Wholeness in the short film "Battle of the Bulge" (Global) garnered widespread recognition, earning over 50 awards at international film festivals, including a gold medal at the New York Film and Video Festival, a Certificate of Merit at the Chicago International Film Festival, and a Genie for Best Short Film in Canada.
Throughout her illustrious career, Suzanne has brought to life a diverse range of characters in award-winning television and film productions, including "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" (CBS, NBC),"Strange Justice" (Showtime, Paramount),"Get a Clue" (Disney),"When Love is Not Enough, The Lois Wilson Story" (CBS),"Suits" (USA Network),"Cake" (Lionsgate),"The Great Defender" (Warner Bros),and "Covert Affairs" (USA Network),among many others. She has had the privilege of sharing the screen with notable actors such as Alan Arkin, EG Marshall, Winona Ryder, Peter Strauss, Armand Assante, and Megan Follows.
In addition to her impressive acting credits, Suzanne has also ventured into production, creating and starring in the 30-minute short film "Silent Song," which aired on the Alliance Atlantis group of television networks. Most recently, she has taken on comedic lead roles in "Christmas Wedding Runaway" (Superchannel) and "The Wedding Planners" (Rogers).
Suzanne's most recent and critically acclaimed performance can be seen in the dramatic supporting lead role of Headmaster in the feature film "Night Raiders," written and directed by Danis Goulet and executive produced by Taika Waititi. "Night Raiders" premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2021, was a gala film at the Toronto International Film Festival, and went on to win five Canadian Screen Awards.
