Born in 1930, in the picturesque town of Barnet, Vermont, a place that would later influence her journey in the world of theatre.
She graduated from the esteemed Wellesley College in 1952, followed by her academic pursuits at the prestigious Yale School of Drama, where she earned her degree in 1955.
In 1956, she became a part of the original company of the Williamstown Theater Festival, located in Williamstown, Massachusetts. For many seasons, she took on lead roles in productions such as "St. Joan", "The Matchmaker", and "Ondine", among others, honing her craft and making a name for herself in the industry.
In 1963, she tied the knot with producer Tony Converse, and they began their life together. Years later, in 1977, they made the move to Los Angeles, where she spent the next two decades working in the entertainment capital of the world.
Before settling in Los Angeles, she had a successful stint in New York City, appearing in numerous Off-Broadway productions. Her journey has been marked by dedication, perseverance, and a passion for her craft, ultimately leading her to the city of angels, where she continues to make her mark.
