Steve Barnes, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1989 and has been a resident of Atlanta since 1992. Throughout his career, he has appeared in a wide range of film, television, and commercial projects, including the critically acclaimed "Remember The Titans", MTV's "Road Rules", and numerous other notable productions.
Steve has also had the opportunity to work in the world of radio, hosting morning shows on 92.9 DAVE-FM with CNN's Holly Firfer from September 2004 to September 2006, and on 99X's "The Morning X", Atlanta's top-rated morning radio show, from 1992 to 2003. During his time hosting "The Morning X", Steve and his co-hosts earned numerous prestigious awards, including the 2000 "Most Entertaining Morning Show of the Year" award from Atlanta Magazine, the 1999 "Best Drive-Time Morning Show" award from Creative Loafing, the 1999 "Major Market Air Talent of the Year" award from Radio and Records, and the 1996 "Personalities of the Year" award from Billboard.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Steve is deeply committed to his community and regularly participates in charitable causes. In fact, shortly after his father was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, Steve founded the annual "Celebrity Softball Slam", a series of celebrity softball games that have raised approximately $250,000 for the fight against muscular dystrophy.
When he's not busy with his career or charitable endeavors, Steve enjoys a variety of hobbies, including golf, tennis, and staying up-to-date on the latest pop culture trends. He is also an avid fan of Apple products and loves to get his hands on the latest gadgets.
