Sofia Milos, a talented actress, has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry with her versatility and range. She is best known for her role as Yelina Salas, the sister-in-law and impossible love of Horatio Caine, in the hit TV series "CSI: Miami", which she starred in from seasons 1 to 8 (2003-2010).
Throughout her career, Milos has accumulated over 237 hours of television on the air, as well as film appearances. Her recent work includes a recurring role as the dangerous spy Daria in Robert Zemeckis's "Project Bluebook".
Milos has also starred as Homeland Security Agent Bianca La Garda in the action-packed international TV drama "The Border" (2007-2010),earning her a nomination at the Monte Carlo International Television Festival. She has hosted the Award Show in Monaco in 2012 alongside French host Bernard Monteil.
One of her most notable roles was in the critically acclaimed HBO series "The Sopranos", where she played the strong and powerful mob boss, Annalisa Zucca, opposite James Gandolfini's Tony Soprano. Her performance in this role showcased her ability to be both strong and vulnerable, earning her an Artistic Achievement Award in 2010 in Banff and a Hellenic Times Award in 2009 in NYC.
Milos has continued to take on diverse roles, including her recent part in the series "Gravesend" (2022). Born in Zurich, Switzerland to a Greek mother and an Italian father, she is fluent in Italian, French, German, English, Greek, and Spanish, and holds both an Italian and a US passport.
In addition to her work in "CSI: Miami", Milos has also appeared in "Chicago Justice" as defense attorney Mary Willis, opposite Phillip Winchester and Jon Seda, and guest-starred in "Criminal Minds Beyond Borders" opposite Gary Sinise in the episode "Pankration" (2017). She has also starred in the thriller "The Stranger Inside" and co-starred in the French series "Section De Recherche", speaking fluent French, as well as the German TV film "Tatort", as detective Abbey Lenning, speaking Swiss German.
