Slobodan Stefanovic, a renowned figure on the Serbian musical stage, has captivated audiences with his multifaceted talents, effortlessly transitioning between dancing, singing, and acting. Born on August 21, 1977, in Novi Sad, Slobodan began his educational journey at a reputable grammar school in Sremski Karlovci, followed by enrollment in the Drama & Art Academy under the guidance of Professor Vida Ognjenovic.
Before completing his studies, Slobodan's talent was recognized, and he was offered a leading role in the comedy "Svetislav & Mileva" at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad during his third year. This marked the beginning of his journey as a young acting star.
Slobodan's first film, "She's in Love with Red Star," was shot in 2000, followed by his stage debut in the Belgrade National Theater's production of "Mileva Einstein." Around the same time, the Terazije Theatre was holding auditions for new members, and Slobodan successfully passed the audition, becoming a part of the new young acting crew, affectionately known as "Misha's babies," led by the experienced director Mihajlo Vukobratovic.
Slobodan's career in the Terazije Theatre began with the production of "Grease." In 2003, he relocated from Novi Sad to Belgrade, as the demand for his services increased significantly.
Throughout his career, Slobodan has been driven by a relentless pursuit of perfection, continually seeking to improve himself. In 2009, he attended the oldest musical school in the USA, "Jacob's Pillow," at the invitation of director Chat Walker. This collaboration led to the production of "Cabaret."
Slobodan has received numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious "Zoran Radmilovic" Award for outstanding acting in theatre, the Award for Best Young Actor at the "Joakim fest" for his performance in "The Heroes," and awards for his performances in "Cabaret" and "Grease." In 2011, he received the Annual Award of the Terazije Theater for his roles in "The Producers" and "Zorba the Greek."
