Simone Bartesaghi is a renowned Italian filmmaker who has garnered prestigious recognition from the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) for his extraordinary abilities in directing.
At the tender age of 24, Simone earned his Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Pisa, Italy, and shortly after, he established a thriving consulting company specializing in corporate organization and planning. However, he eventually decided to pursue his childhood dream, leaving behind his successful career.
Simone's passion for filmmaking led him to write and direct several short films, which earned him numerous accolades. His remarkable work caught the attention of the Milan International Film Festival, where he won first and second place, and he was subsequently awarded two scholarships to attend the Los Angeles Film School.
After arriving in the United States, Simone directed his first feature film, DOWNSTREAM, which received a theatrical release and was honored with the prestigious Accolade Award. Only four years later, he directed his second feature, RUN, a 3D film that he wrote and directed, which won several prizes, including Best Screenplay and Best Emerging Director. The film, which explores the discipline of Parkour (Freerunning),boasts a talented cast featuring Eric Roberts, Adrian Pasdar, Kelsey Chow, and William Moseley.
Simone's exceptional abilities and communicative skills have earned him recognition from educational institutions worldwide, and he is now an Adjunct Professor in Filmmaking at the esteemed Santa Monica College.
In addition to his work in filmmaking, Simone is a published author, having written "The Director's Six Senses," a groundbreaking book that offers a unique approach to developing the skills essential for visual storytellers.
