Selçuk Aydemir, a Turkish screenwriter and director, was born on June 6, 1982, in the vibrant city of Istanbul. Despite his academic background in Aeronautical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, he has not pursued a career in this field, instead opting to focus on his passion for storytelling.
Aydemir is perhaps best known for his work on the popular television series, Leyla and Majnun, which he co-created and wrote. Interestingly, his cousin, Burak, is also a writer and has collaborated with Aydemir on several projects, including the critically acclaimed series, Imperfect.
One of Aydemir's most notable achievements is his work on the 2014 film, Wedding Association, which was a massive commercial success in Turkey, making it the most-watched movie of that year.
