Sean Hayes

Sean Patrick Hayes was born and raised in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, where he spent his childhood with his mother, Mary, who worked at a food bank, and his four siblings after his father, Ronald, a lithographer, left the family when Sean was a young child. To support himself and his family, Sean developed a passion for music, becoming a classical pianist and a member of a pop band for five years while attending Illinois State University, where he majored in performance and orchestral conducting. After graduating, Sean began his professional career in Chicago theatre, serving as musical director at the Pheasant Run Theater for several years and appearing on stage in various productions, including the original production of "Role Play" at the Organic Theatre.
