Sean Abley was born and raised in Helena, Montana, where he spent his formative years before departing for the University of Montana Drama program. However, he ultimately decided to drop out of the program, opting instead to pursue his dreams in the city of Chicago. There, he immersed himself in the world of theater, studying at renowned institutions such as Players Workshop, Second City, and the Improv Institute.
As his skills and experience grew, Sean found himself collaborating with a group of like-minded actor/writers, and together they founded the Factory Theater company. This marked the beginning of a prolific creative period for Sean, during which he wrote, directed, and appeared in over 20 productions, including notable titles such as "Reefer Madness" (a non-musical adaptation),"Bitches", "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, The Musical", "Nuclear Family", "Corpse Grinders", and "P". The Factory Theater, now in its 15th year, has since expanded to include a Los Angeles branch, where Sean's Garland Award-winning play "Attack of the Killer B's" was recently produced.
Sean's impressive resume also includes a stint as a staff writer on the "You Don't Know Jack" CD-ROM series, which ultimately led to his relocation to Los Angeles. In this new city, he quickly transitioned into the world of reality television, serving as a producer and writer. Several years later, he made the leap to film, where he continues to write, direct, and produce to this day.
Despite his many accomplishments, Sean remains humble, and would like the world to know that he is, in fact, the proud owner of an astonishing 1,000 horror and science fiction DVDs.
