Biography

Scott Handy, a talented individual with a rich cultural heritage, was born to an Irish father and an English mother. He pursued his academic interests at the University of Cambridge, where he earned a degree in English and honed his skills as a choral scholar. In addition to his academic pursuits, Handy was a member of the boy pop group Ice Cold in Alice during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He further developed his acting abilities at the Central School of Speech and Drama, and has since returned to the institution as a visiting director and faculty member.

Handy has had the opportunity to work with various esteemed companies, including the Cheek By Jowl Company, with whom he spent three years, and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has also presented theatrical workshops globally, often in collaboration with the Cheek By Jowl Company and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Handy has had the privilege of working with renowned directors such as Peter Brook in Paris and the New York experimental company The Wooster Group.

As a long-time collaborator with Rupert Goold, Handy has had the opportunity to play leading roles in various productions, including the title role in Faustus and Antonio opposite Patrick Stewart's Shylock. Although he is best known for his work on the stage, Handy has also made significant contributions to the world of film. His cinematic credits include Ridley Scott's Napoleon, Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, and Heath Ledger's breakout movie A Knight's Tale.

Handy is married to the talented Greek Cypriot film actress Agni Scott, and the couple resides in South East London with their two children.
